*VOLUNTEER NEEDED!* Volunteers with Kids First to support staff running an energetic, educational and social playgroup based at the Seymour Family and Children’s Centre. The group provides a variety of exciting and interactive activities for children from birth to five and their mums, dads and carers.
A volunteer is matched with a parent, who is socially isolated from usual support networks, including multiple birth families and those experiencing Post Natal Depression or Anxiety. They undertake a weekly home visit to assist to build parent's confidence by skill building and role modelling and improve their wellbeing and resilience by assisting to link into their community.
Volunteers are required to assist with the running of a weekly Kids’ Menu Program at this local church and the set-up and and pack-down required each week.
DCPS has an amazing edible garden that is cared for by the school community, including students who attend garden club once a week during lunchtime. In the school garden, students learn how to grow, care for and harvest a huge variety of fruit, vegetables and herbs. In this role you will be coordinating a team to support students to build gardening skills in a friendly, inclusive and supportive environment.
If you love spending time with children and have a couple of hours to spare each week, the childcare room at this Community House would love some assistance in their Occasional Care and 3 year old Kinder programs. Volunteers who may be thinking about, are currently studying or have completed their Cert III in Childcare highly regarded.

Breastfeeding counsellors are trained volunteers who offer breastfeeding information and mother-to-mother support to women whose babies are breastfeeding and to their families. Their area of expertise is breastfeeding support. The counsellors have to have breastfed at least one baby for a minimum of 6 months and hold a current Certificate IV in Breastfeeding Education (Counselling) (or equivalent) and have to complete ongoing training to up d ate their knowledge and skills.

This position is ideal for people who enjoy reading, working with children and hope to make a difference in a child's life progressing through their school years.

Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation (AKKF) supports young people aged 8-18 years who are living in a family impacted by mental illness. Our three core programs include: Camps, Activity Days, and online “Connect” sessions. Volunteers can choose which programs they participate in depending on their interest and availability. When on program, AKKF volunteers engage with and support young people to participate in the activities, connect with their peers and have fun.
Child and Family Service Gold Coast Early Years Centre provides educational support to families and their children. Our groups and programs provide an entry way into The Benevolent Society where staff can provide support, information and referrals, and families connect with their community.
