We're looking for 25 more volunteers to care for puppies in the City of Boroondara area. Seeking volunteers interested in looking after one of our very special puppies to assist a blind person to live their life to the full. Being a Puppy Carer means you get to experience the joy of looking after an adorable puppy for 12 to 15 months – without any of the associated costs – and enjoy the satisfaction of knowing you are assisting someone who is blind to live the life they choose.

The Million Paws Walk is the annual fund raising event held across Australia with over 15 walks in Victoria. The Geelong Million Paws Walk attracts over a 1000 community members and their furry pets. The Event Committee will arrange an exciting walk for 22 May 2022. The event will have pet-friendly stalls, games and sausage sizzle for paw-ents and music to get attendees walking for a great cause

Are you available to answer wildlife rescue calls between 9am and 5pm? This SOWFI Wildlife Rescue phone team takes calls from members of public who are concerned about a native bird or animal and helps find the quickest and best solution. A satisfying role for people who love wildlife, love to help and are good at problem solving.
This dynamic team install Wildlife and possum boxes for our Wildlife Carers. The boxes in which we release our wildlife / possums are made of 19mm pine to provide the best insulation during our hotter summers but are therefore 6.5kg plus wildlife weight (up to 2kg). Ladders and harnesses are used to ensure safety for our installation team and training in best practice WH&S is also provided.
Purpose: To provide an enjoyable activity and fundraise for rescue animals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist in setting up for bingo, including distributing cards 2. Collect bingo money where applicable 3. Call bingo numbers 4. Assist clients when playing numbers where appropriate 5. Call back bingo numbers 6. Tidy up after bingo 7. Our volunteer team has been operating for 20 years plus, and we’re still going strong! With over 500 volunteers within our program, we want you to be part of the action and experience the opportunity to excite, engage, and educate from a unique perspective.
Ensure animal enclosures and grounds are clean, including sweeping, hosing, raking and cleaning glass. Assist with daily feeding and watering of approved animals. Assist with daily animal food preparation. Provide animal enrichment including preparing toys, treats and other enrichment activities.
