    Volunteering Gold Coast

    VGC and Surf Life Savings Clubs are working together to ensure the beaches along the Gold Coast are accessible for everyone. We want to help build local communities that are inclusive, purposeful and connected by removing the environmental and social barriers that inhibit the full inclusion and participation of people enjoying the Gold Coast beaches. Volunteers will roll out access mats and assist participants to use beach wheelchairs to enjoy the beach along with everyone else. (C)

    Using your own vehicle, assist those in the community who can't drive due to illness or circumstance get out for medical appointments, funerals, shopping, exercise, social connection. Some drives may be only 100 metres and some as far as 100 kms. Drivers are never asked to do more than they are comfortable with. Some reimbursement is available to cover petrol costs. Drivers are kept connected with a newsletter and monthly morning teas.
