    Our Lifestyle & Wellbeing team based in Southport, offer a number of community services including group outings and activities for our clients. To maintain this essential service, we require the support of volunteers, and are currently looking for volunteer Activities Assistants to work with our paid staff, supporting clients with various activities and group programs.

  • French Intermediate Tutor

    U3A Gold Coast Inc.

    We offer over 60 courses to our members who are aged over 50. We seek a person who can tutor our members who have a reasonable knowledge of French, that is beyond beginners level but are not yet conversant in the language. The class is held every Friday in our two Semesters (Feb - June and Aug - Dec) between 1pm and 3pm at the Southport Community Centre, although we may be able to be flexible with the time and day.

  • Reception Volunteers

    U3A Gold Coast Inc.

    Our organisation provides over 60 courses to our over 500 members. We are seeking volunteers to assist with reception duties at our Australia Fair based office in Southport. We have shifts available Mon-Fri from 8.45am-12.15pm, or from 12.00pm-3.30pm. We operate over two Semesters: January to June, and then August to early December. The main tasks will be to manage phone, in person and email new and renewing membership enquiries, and change of course enquiries from our members. (C)

  • Spanish Beginners Tutor

    U3A Gold Coast Inc.

    We offer over 60 courses to our members who are aged over 50. We seek a person who is conversant in Spanish to take our Beginners Spanish class. The class is held every Thursday from 1:30pm to 2:30pm during our two Semesters (Feb to June and Aug to Dec) at our Margaret Street Hall in Southport. The date and time might be flexible.

  • Italian Beginners Tutor

    U3A Gold Coast Inc.

    U3A Gold Coast offers over 60 courses to our members who are aged from 50+. We require a tutor for our Italian Beginners class which is held every Thursday afternoon at our Margaret Street Hall in Southport during our two Semesters (Feb to June and Aug to Dec). Our students will have little or no knowledge of the Italian language. Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations is required in accordance with Government guidelines for all our tutors, members and volunteers.

  • Astrology and/or Numerology Tutor

    U3A Gold Coast Inc.

    U3A Gold Coast offers over 60 course to our members who are aged from 50 years. We seek a tutor for our Astrology / Numerology class. The tutor will need to have in-depth experience in either or both Astrology or Numerology. How they teach these subjects will be up to the tutor - there is not set syllabus. The classes will be held at one of our Southport facilities and can be either of one or two hours duration.

We are looking for volunteers to provide friendly customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.     Utilise your valuable customer service skills and ‘make a difference’ with small simple tasks to assist patrons from the community while they are staying or departing from the hospital. Comprehensive surveys are used by the hospital as feedback, to provide positive experiences, improve services to patrons and engage the community. Our team offer genuine, caring and empathy inclusively to all patrons. Must have an understanding of and be able to use an iPAd, follow instructions as given.
